And one of our favorite examples is black fabric: Frost Ice takes on a beautiful BLUE appearance over black! 💙❄️

Move that same stone to a different color material and you can get a noticeably different result.

That's what makes Frost Ice so much fun for creative projects. The rhinestone brings the sparkle, but your background gets a vote in the final color story.

Use Frost Ice for lettering, apparel, accessories, rhinestone templates, sublimation upgrades and designs where you want the material underneath to become part of the finished effect.

❄️ Why Does Frost Ice Look Different on Different Colors?

Frost Ice allows the color beneath and around the rhinestone to influence its finished appearance.

Because of that, you should never judge Frost Ice entirely by how the loose stones look in their container.

For example, Frost Ice takes on a blue appearance when applied over black material.

Apply the same rhinestones over another color and the finished effect can look noticeably different.

This isn't a flaw or a color inconsistency—it's part of what makes Frost Ice special.

When choosing Frost Ice for a project, consider your garment or material color as part of the design.

The material underneath gets a vote! ❄️💎

🎨 AMAZING for Sublimation Upgrades!

Frost Ice is especially fun over sublimated designs on polyester because the sublimated artwork underneath can help influence the finished appearance of the rhinestones while Frost Ice adds sparkle over the top. 💎✨

This opens up some incredible possibilities for colorful lettering, gradients, multicolor graphics, team designs and other sublimated artwork.

Instead of covering your sublimated colors with an opaque rhinestone, Frost Ice allows the artwork underneath to remain part of the visual effect.

That means one rhinestone can produce different looks across different portions of the same sublimated design.

Sublimation brings the artwork. Frost Ice brings the sparkle. ❄️🎨💎

Always test your specific polyester garment and pressing setup before production.

⚠️ A Note About Other Apparel Decorations

For apparel, we do not recommend applying hotfix rhinestones directly over HTV, DTF or screen-printed transfers.

These decorations create a layer between the hotfix adhesive and the garment itself, preventing the rhinestone adhesive from properly bonding with the fabric and making it much easier for stones to release during wear or washing.

Hotfix rhinestones need an appropriate surface where the adhesive can properly bond.

Sublimation is different because the sublimated image becomes part of the polyester rather than creating a separate transfer layer sitting on top of the fabric.

❄️ Frost Ice or Frost Fire?

Both Frost Ice and Frost Fire interact visually with the material underneath them, but they are different rhinestones and do not create identical effects.

Frost Ice is especially known for its dramatic transformation over dark materials—including its beautiful blue appearance over black.

Frost Fire has its own distinctive appearance and reacts differently to the colors beneath it.

If you're deciding between the two, don't judge them only by how they look loose in their containers.

Try them over the material you plan to use.

Depending on the quantity and size selected, our rhinestones are packaged in our reusable Ice Chip or Junior Ice Box storage system so they arrive organized and ready to use.

🔥 Hotfix Rhinestones

These rhinestones have a heat-activated adhesive backing and can be applied using a heat press or compatible single-stone heat tool.

Pressing Instructions

For best results:

1. Pre-press your item for 15 seconds.
2. Apply the hotfix rhinestones using a heat press with firm pressure for 12 seconds at 350°F.
3. Thicker fabrics may require additional pressing time. Always adjust time, temperature and pressure as needed for your specific fabric and equipment.

Washing Instructions

Wash in cold water only and lay flat to dry.

These rhinestones are made from low-lead glass crystal for beautiful clarity and shine.

Frost Ice has a distinctive clear-style appearance that can be strongly influenced by the color of the material beneath and around the rhinestone.

Our stones are packaged based on volume. Rhinestone counts are defined approximations and are not guaranteed. Contents may settle during shipping.

Store your rhinestones in a cool, dry environment away from direct sunlight to help maintain their longevity.

💎 Please Note About Color & Appearance

Because Frost Ice interacts visually with the material beneath it, its finished appearance can vary significantly depending on fabric color, surrounding colors, lighting and viewing conditions.

Most notably, Frost Ice takes on a blue appearance when applied over black material.

A photograph showing Frost Ice on one background may therefore look very different from the same rhinestones applied to another color.

We strongly recommend considering the color of your finished project when selecting Frost Ice and, whenever possible, testing a few stones on your actual material before completing a large design.

We do our best to photograph and display our rhinestones accurately. However, differences in lighting and screen/device settings can also affect their appearance.

Slight variations may occur between production batches. If adding to stones you already own, we recommend purchasing enough for your entire project at one time for the closest possible match.
